Job summary

Teach Plus Limited in Southall, West London, is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school on a full-time basis, starting ASAP. You will support teaching and learning across the school, delivering targeted interventions to raise attainment and contribute to the wider school community.

The successful HLTA will work closely with class teachers, have strong classroom management and communication skills, and hold an Enhanced DBS with Update Service,

Qualifications

  • Experience as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) or in a similar role.
  • Strong subject/curriculum knowledge relevant to the role.
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate with the Update Service
  • Right to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Support teachers with the delivery of engaging lessons and high-quality lessons to whole classes, across the school (EYFS - KS2)
  • Lead small-group and targeted interventions to support pupils' academic progress and development.
  • Provide effective classroom cover and deliver pre-planned lessons when required.
  • Promote positive behaviour and maintain a calm, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
  • Work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to monitor pupil progress and identify individual learning needs.
  • Support pupils with their social, emotional and educational development, encouraging confidence and independence.

Salary: £115 - £140 per day - negotiable depending on experience

This Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) opportunity would suit an experienced teaching assistant, HLTA or education professional who is confident supporting pupils across the primary age range and can demonstrate strong classroom management and communication skills.The successful Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) will have the opportunity to take on additional responsibilities, deliver targeted interventions and make a meaningful contribution to pupil progress within a supportive primary school setting.
