Step Teachers Ltd is assisting a well-established 11–16 secondary school in recruiting a History Teacher for a full-time, long-term role with an immediate start. You will teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4, deliver engaging lessons, assess progress, and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment while supporting strong academic outcomes.

Applicants should have QTS or equivalent, with proven secondary-school history experience and strong classroom management to inspire learners

Duties as a History Teacher:

• Teach History across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Plan and deliver engaging and challenging lessons

• Support students in achieving strong academic outcomes
• Contribute to the wider Humanities department

Ideal History Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching History within a secondary school setting
• Strong subject knowledge and curriculum understanding
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Ability to engage and inspire students of all abilities
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
