Job summary

GovAI is seeking a Hiring Associate to help run staffing and field-building programs. You will move candidates through rounds, keep our applicant tracking system accurate, and handle day-to-day candidate communications.

You’ll own stages of rounds, be the first contact for candidates, and coordinate with internal reviewers to keep schedules on track. In this role, you’ll work with Hiring Specialists and the Talent Systems Manager, using Airtable daily, and helping improve templates, checklists,

Qualifications

• Experience in operations, administration or recruiting roles.
• Comfort with structured data and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with AI safety/governance landscape is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Move candidates through rounds and keep ATS accurate.
• Own specific stages of hiring rounds and ensure timely reviews.
• Communicate with candidates and schedule messages.
• Support improvements to templates and checklists used in hiring.
