Job summary

Speedy, the UK’s leading hire provider, is seeking a Hire Desk Controller in West Bromwich. You will coordinate the full hire process from taking orders to delivery and collection, liaising with depot teams to meet customer needs and deliver excellent service.

The role is depot-based with 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, on a fixed-term contract of 12 months. You will support sales, operations and ESG initiatives while maintaining high standards of customer communication.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.

• Experience in hire industry or similar sales/operational role.

Hire Desk Controller

Location: West Bromwich – Monday to Friday 08:30 to 17:00 – 37.5 Hours – Fixed Term Contract – 12 months.

Based in the depot, the Hire Desk Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities

On a day-to-day basis, you will be desk‑based, working directly with other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to minimise delays in fulfilling the needs of customers with readily available equipment and close contact.
