Job summary

Speedy Hire in Milton Keynes is seeking a proactive Hire Controller to join our depot team. You will coordinate the end-to-end hire process from taking orders to delivery and collection, ensuring we meet customer needs with accuracy and speed.

Based in the depot, you’ll work desk-based with stock teams, drivers and engineers, building strong relationships and delivering excellent service. A UK driving license and experience in hire or sales operations are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational and communication skills are essential.
• Adaptability and a drive to learn and develop.
• Driving licence is required.
• Experience in the hire industry or similar sales/operational role preferred.
• Ability to support the ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the end-to-end hire process from order to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot teams to ensure customer needs are met and service is high quality.
• Work desk-based with stock teams, drivers and engineers to fulfil customer requirements.
• Build relationships with customers to support repeat business and satisfaction.

Job Title - Hire Controller

Location - Milton Keynes

Working Hours - Mon - Fri, 07:30 - 17:00 - 42 hours per week

Salary - £29,572 per annum, pro rata

Based in the depot, the Hire Controller is a vital part of operations on the front line of sales and customer service. Relationship building is the key to success, as the Hire Controller coordinates the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection, liaising with every part of the depot to ensure the needs of the customer are met and that they’re satisfied with our service.

On a day-to-day basis, you can expect to be desk-based, working directly with the other departments, liaising regularly with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure minimal delay in fulfilling the needs of the customer with readily available equipment and close contact.
