Job summary

SMS Specialist Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Hire Desk Controller for a leading Scottish supplier of small tools and general plant, based at Ayr in Ayrshire. You will work with the sales and workshop teams to ensure equipment is available for delivery to customers, and you will help coordinate orders and schedules to meet customer needs.

The role is office-based in Ayrshire, requiring hire desk experience, strong administration, and good knowledge of tools and general plant.

Qualifications

Hire Desk Controller Tool & Plant

Our client has grown to be the Scotland's largest supplier of small tools and general plant into the Construction industry. This growth has seen the company turnover increase and their ability to service clients far beyond their expectations. With continued support for training with a guarantee that personal development will be encouraged and promoted our client is now looking to expand and develop their operations in the East of Scotland area with the recruitment of a Hire Desk Controller for their site in Ayr.

The Role

This is a fundamental role in the company's business strategy and requires individuals of an ambitious nature. Applicants will be office based and will work with the sales team, workshop team and with customers to make sure the equipment is available and ready for delivery. Making sure the customers get the equipment they need when they need it and where it is required. Working in a busy environment, multi-tasking, taking ownership of customers issues and concerns, collaborating with the whole team to fulfil the expectations of the customer. Working on a variety of systems, prioritising the workload, and working with high levels of attention to detail.

The Applicant

Suitable applicants must be able to show strong administration and operational experience of the above industry and products and be looking for a challenging new role. Hire Desk experience is a requirement to this role, applicants should have some technical knowledge of tools and general plant.

The ideal applicants would be based on patch in the Ayrshire area of Scotland.

Basic Salary £30-34k + Full company benefits
