Job summary

Fusion People is seeking a Hire Desk Controller in Weston-Super-Mare to manage bookings, off-hires and invoicing on a busy desk. You will keep customers and internal teams updated and ensure records and paperwork are accurate.

The role requires strong organisation, confident telephone manner, and proficiency with Excel. Plant hire experience is essential, with the ability to handle multiple mailboxes and coordinate with transport, sales and workshop.

Hire Desk Controller

Location: Weston-Super-Mare

Salary: Competitive

We're looking for someone experienced on a busy hire desk to handle bookings, off‑hires and invoicing, while keeping customers and internal teams updated.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing hire contracts from start to finish
• Coordinating with customers, transport, sales and workshop
• Handling calls and emails across multiple mailboxes
• Keeping equipment availability and records accurate
• Building relationships with key customers
• Ensuring all paperwork and billing is correct

Requirements

Desirable

• Syrinx experience (training provided)
• Previous hire desk or account management experience

Experience Requirement: Plant‑hire experience is essential. If you haven't worked in plant hire or on a hire desk before, this role won't be suitable.
