Platinum Recruitment Consultancy in Warrington is seeking a Hire Desk Controller with experience in plant hire, cranes, lifting or powered access to join a growing operation. You will manage enquiries, bookings and equipment availability while coordinating deliveries and collections.

The role offers £28,000-£30,000 salary plus clear progression, ongoing training and development, and generous holiday entitlement. You will engage with customers and suppliers to keep operations smoothly running.

Qualifications

• Experience in cranes, lifting, powered access or plant hire.
• Previous experience as a hire controller or similar.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and customer service.
• Confident working under pressure.
• Good IT skills and ability to use hire management systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer enquiries, bookings and equipment availability while coordinating deliveries and collections.
• Handle hire enquiries and understand customer equipment requirements.
• Process bookings, quotations and hire documentation accurately.
• Check equipment availability and allocate plant.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections with drivers and depot teams.
• Keep customers updated throughout the hire process.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate hire system records.
• Build strong relationships with new and existing customers.

Key Responsibilities:
