Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established plant hire business to appoint an experienced Hire Controller to join their busy depot in Liverpool. You will manage enquiries, prepare quotations and coordinate fleet, transport and deliveries while delivering outstanding service.

Ideal candidates will have prior Hire Controller experience in plant/tool hire or related sectors, strong communication, and excellent organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Hire Controller or similar role.
• Experience in plant/tool hire, powered access, lifting or related industry is desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive and positive attitude.
• Good IT skills and experience using hire management systems.

Responsibilities

• Managing incoming hire enquiries via phone and email.
• Preparing quotations and converting enquiries into hires.
• Coordinating plant availability, transport and collections.
• Liaising with customers, drivers and engineers for smooth delivery.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Processing hire contracts, off-hires and paperwork.
• Working with the depot team to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout the hire process.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment are working with a well-established and growing plant hire business looking to appoint an experienced Hire Controller to join their busy depot in Liverpool.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in plant hire, tool hire, powered access, lifting, welfare, accommodation or a similar hire environment who enjoys building customer relationships and delivering outstanding service.

You’ll be joining a friendly, supportive team where no two days are the same, playing a key role in ensuring customers receive the right equipment, on time, every time.

The Role

• Managing incoming hire enquiries via phone and email.
• Preparing quotations and converting enquiries into hires.
• Coordinating plant availability, transport and collections.
• Liaising with customers, drivers and engineers to ensure smooth delivery of equipment.
• Building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
• Processing hire contracts, off-hires and associated paperwork.
• Working closely with the depot team to maximise fleet utilisation.
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout the hire process.

The Person

• Previous experience as a Hire Controller, Hire Desk Controller, Hire Coordinator or Rental Controller.
• Experience within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, lifting, welfare, accommodation, generators or a related hire industry is highly desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• A proactive and positive attitude.
• Good IT skills and experience using hire management systems is advantageous.
