Job summary

Speedy Hire, the UK’s leading hire provider, is seeking a Hire Controller in Bury St Edmunds. You will coordinate the end-to-end hire process, from order intake to delivery and collection, while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and customers.

The role is desk-based, based in the depot, with a 42-hour week. We value strong organisational and communication skills, adaptability, and a proactive approach to learning.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication skills both verbally & written.
• Adaptability.
• Commitment to learn and develop.
• Driving licence.
• Previous experience working within the hire industry or similar sales or operational role.
• Ability to support your business unit/team to deliver our ESG Strategy – Decade to Deliver.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from taking the order through to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure timely fulfilment.
• Provide excellent customer service as part of the depot front line operations.
