Job summary

Speedy Group UK&I in Aberdeen is seeking a Hire Controller on a fixed-term 6-month contract. You will manage the end-to-end hire process from order to delivery and collection, working closely with depot colleagues to ensure a smooth customer experience and timely equipment fulfilment.

This desk-based role requires strong organisational and communication skills, a willingness to learn, and a valid driving licence. Prior experience in hire or sales/operational roles is preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills are essential for coordinating the hire process and depot interactions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication needed to liaise with customers and internal teams.
• Commitment to learn and develop within the role, with a driving licence required.
• Previous experience in the hire industry or a similar sales/operational role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the entire hire process from order intake through to delivery and collection.
• Liaise with depot, stock teams, drivers and engineers to ensure customer needs are met and service is satisfactory.
• Work desk-based with other departments to keep operations running smoothly and minimize delays.
