Job summary

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Hire Controller in Uxbridge to manage incoming hire enquiries, produce quotations and coordinate the end-to-end hire process from enquiry to delivery and off-hire.

You will liaise with transport, workshop and sales teams to ensure fleet availability and provide excellent service while developing relationships with customers and supporting depot operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in plant hire, tool hire, powered access, construction equipment or equipment rental.

Responsibilities

• Handle incoming customer hire enquiries and process quotations.
• Produce hire quotations and process hire orders.
• Advise customers on suitable plant and equipment and coordinate the hire process.
• Check fleet availability and allocate equipment.
• Coordinate deliveries and collections and manage on-hire/off-hire equipment.

• Maintain accurate records in hire systems.
• Build relationships with new and existing customers.

NEOS Engineering Recruitment is working with a well-established and growing plant and equipment hire business that is looking to recruit an experienced Hire Controller for its London operation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Hire Controller to join a successful business with a strong presence across the plant hire and construction equipment industry. The successful candidate will play an important role within the depot, managing customer enquiries, coordinating equipment hires and ensuring customers receive an excellent level of service.

The Role:

As Hire Controller, you will be responsible for managing incoming hire enquiries, producing quotations and processing hire orders. You will work closely with customers to understand their requirements, advise on suitable equipment and coordinate the hire process from initial enquiry through to delivery, collection and off-hire.

You will also liaise closely with the transport, workshop and sales teams to ensure equipment is available and customers are kept updated throughout the hire process.

The Candidate:

The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience working within plant hire, tool hire, powered access, construction equipment, material handling or equipment rental.

We would be particularly interested in speaking with candidates who have previously worked as a Hire Controller, Hire Desk Controller, Hire Coordinator, Senior Hire Controller or Hire Desk Manager.

You will need to be organised, commercially minded and confident dealing with customers in a busy, fast-paced hire environment.
