Job summary

The Hire Place UK, part of the Places for People Group, is seeking a Hire Controller to manage the full hire process and coordinate orders, invoicing, and supplier interactions. This on-site role runs Monday to Friday, 8am–5pm, with opportunities to contribute to sales and service excellence.

Ideal candidates will have experience in on/off hire management, quotations, procurement related to hire, relationship building, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Experience managing on/off hires.
• Experience quoting customers.
• Procurement related to hire and purchase of equipment.
• Ability to build working relationships.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook/Word/Excel) and basic maths.

Responsibilities

• Handle the complete hire process and related tasks.
• Arrange hire and sales of goods and equipment.
• Complete paperwork and plan driver routes.
• Deal with invoice queries and supplier orders.
• Support other duties as required.

We are The Hire Place UK, part of the Places for People Group; we are looking for a Hire Controller to join our team.

This role is a varied and interesting role which requires involvement in the complete hire process and is an opportunity to be involved in a wide variety of the functions within the hire business.

The primary function of this role will be dealing with customers, and arranging hire and sales of goods and equipment, completing the appropriate paperwork, planning driver routes, dealing with invoice queries, placing orders with suppliers and related tasks, along with many other duties that may be required from time to time.
This role is based on site 5 days a week (Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm).

More about you

Ideally applicants should have experience of:

• Managing on/ off hires,
• Providing / raising quotations to customers,
• Procurement relating to hire and purchase of equipment,
• Building working relationships,
• MS Office including Outlook/Word/Excel, as well as basic mathematical ability.

Experience in the hire industry is an advantage but not essential.
