Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to lead highway schemes across the full project lifecycle. You will oversee a portfolio of works, manage PMs, report on performance, and drive risk mitigation and change control.

Travel to network offices and sites is required, with potential night shifts and a full driving license. A PM qualification and civil engineering background are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Senior level experience delivering highways construction and maintenance projects.
• Qualified in PM methods (e.g., PRINCE2, APMP) with a track record of leading teams.
• Degree-equivalent level in civil engineering or construction discipline is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Act as Portfolio Manager in the absence of the PM, ensuring delivery objectives are met.
• Develop relationships with stakeholders to report performance and resolve issues.
• Maintain compliance with DBFO contracts, manage risks, and produce reports.
• Lead project reviews, update risk registers, and manage change control.
• Coordinate allocation of projects to PMs based on capability and workload.
