Job summary

Paramount Personnel is recruiting for a Highways Operative in North Somerset. This temp to perm role covers planned and reactive highways maintenance tasks such as patching, potholes, kerbing, drainage and slabbing.

You must have a valid CSC card and a driving licence, with a Street Works card and HGV desirable for higher rates. Hours are 39 per week with rates from £13.50 to £17.15 per hour, plus overtime and night-shift enhancements.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways maintenance work.
• CSC card and driver’s licence required.
• Street works card and HGV desirable for higher rate.
• Winter maintenance ticket is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Execute highways maintenance tasks including patching, potholes, kerbing, drainage and slabbing.
• Contribute to planned and reactive highway works.
• Support winter maintenance activities when in season.

Temporary and Permanent positions

Our client is looking for experienced Highways Operatives to work on planned and reactive works. All works are highways maintenance related such as patching/potholes/kerbing/drainage/slabbing etc

Winter Maintenance also in season for those with the winter maintenance ticket and HGV

You will need to have a CSC card and driver’s license; in addition, a street works card and HGV would be desirable to obtain the higher hourly rate as would a winter maintenance ticket.
