Abatec Recruitment is seeking a Labourer / Highway Operative for a Sandford-on-Thames site. The role involves kerbing, patching, fencing and signage, with the ability to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle and full compliance with safety standards.

You'll carry out highway maintenance tasks, operate plant and equipment, perform daily checks and risk assessments, and work across day and night shifts. A CSCS card and UK driving licence with <=6 points are required, plus readiness for training and flexibility.

Formación

• A valid CSCS card.
• A current UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
• Experience in the highways or construction industry.
• Willingness to undertake additional training.
• Flexible approach to working hours and duties.
• Basic IT skills, including confidence using a tablet.

Responsabilidades

• Complete assigned tasks safely, efficiently and on schedule, reporting any issues to your supervisor or chargehand.
• Participate in emergency and winter standby duties as required.
• Carry out tarmac work, white works, gully repairs and other highways maintenance duties.
• Operate a range of plant and equipment.
• Complete daily risk assessments, pre-site inspections and vehicle checks.
• Install and maintain signage, lighting and safety barriers.
• Take responsibility for the care and maintenance of vehicles, plant and equipment.

Labourer / Highway Operative

Monday to Friday

£35,000 - £37,000 pa

We are currently seeking experienced Highway Operatives / General Labourers to join our client in Sandford.

The role includes kerbing, hot & cold lay patching, erecting & dismantling fencing and signage and you must be able to drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle/van

Key responsibilities
