Kier Group in Towcester, Northamptonshire, is seeking a Highways Maintenance Operative to join our highways maintenance team. The role focuses on delivering carriageway, footway and drainage works across the local area, contributing to safer, better-connected communities. You will work a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday, with duties including operating light plant, assisting with kerbing, drainage, paving and surfacing, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in highway maintenance or a similar field.
• Relevant certificates and qualifications for this type of work.
• Collaborative and able to work closely with others to achieve shared goals.
• Reliable, trusted and committed to delivering work safely and to a high standard.
• Valid driving licence.

Responsabilités

• Operating light plant equipment including compressors, rollers, disc cutters and vibrating plates, whilst maintaining their daily upkeep.
• Assisting skilled team members with kerbing, drainage, paving, bricklaying and surfacing works.
• Excavating materials using hand and powered tools safely and efficiently.
• General site duties including sweeping, cleaning, litter picking and handling materials and equipment.
• Promoting a safe, inclusive and supportive working environment for all team members.
