Job summary

Kier Group in Thatcham is seeking a Highway Maintenance Operative to join Area 3 highways crew. This permanent full-time role offers daily daytime hours and a focus on safe, high-quality road maintenance.

You will carry out winter maintenance, respond to incidents, operate a range of plant and equipment, and keep accurate records while working closely with peers and subcontractors to uphold safety and customer service standards.

Qualifications

• Full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out highways maintenance duties including winter maintenance operations.
• Responding promptly to incidents on the network to ensure safety and minimize disruption.
• Operating a variety of plant and equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Completing daily worksheets and vehicle defect reports to maintain accurate records.
• Working collaboratively with team members and subcontractors to promote a safe working environment.
