Job summary

Amey in Dundee is seeking a Highways Maintenance Operative (HGV Licence) to maintain trunk roads and support winter operations. The role involves driving, operating specialised vehicles and performing essential highway maintenance across the region.

The candidate should hold a valid HGV licence, a full UK driving licence, and have experience in highways or civils with a strong safety mindset. Occasional night shifts and standby duties are required.

Qualifications

• HGV Licence held and full UK driving licence.
• Experience in highways maintenance or civils environment.
• Strong health and safety understanding and practices.
• Winter maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience operating plant and machinery.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate HGVs and highway maintenance vehicles.
• Carry out carriageway/footway repairs and kerbing work.
• Repair ironwork and drainage systems.
• Operate small plant and equipment as required.
• Perform winter gritting and snow response tasks.
