Job summary

Amey in Kinross is recruiting for Highways Maintenance Operatives to join the NMC NE Account on a full-time permanent basis. The role involves 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8am–4.30pm (3.30pm Friday finish) with occasional night shifts and overtime opportunities.

Key responsibilities include patching, kerbing, drainage maintenance and operating HGVs and small plant machinery. Applicants should have roads/street works experience and hold a full UK driving licence; HGV licence preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience in roads and/or street works.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• Demonstrate awareness of Health and Safety regulations and compliance.
• Be self-motivated and able to work collaboratively within a team.
• Winter maintenance experience is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake highway maintenance tasks including patching, kerbing, ironwork replacement and drainage maintenance.
• Operate and maintain vehicles including HGVs and small plant machinery with checks and routine maintenance.
• Participate in winter and summer standby duties, including emergency callouts.
• Prioritise safety for yourself and the team and maintain accurate records.
• Liaise with Amey staff, sub-contractors, emergency services, police, clients and customers.
