Amey in Glasgow are seeking an HGV Driver/Highways Maintenance Operative to support the M8 Account. This full-time permanent role involves driving HGVs, carrying out road maintenance tasks and winter standby duties.

You will contribute to safe roads, efficient traffic flow and reduced emissions, while working as part of a field team across routine maintenance, patching and drainage tasks. Training and career progression opportunities are available.

Formación

• Hold an HGV Class 1/2 licence.
• Experience in roads and/or street works.
• Awareness of health and safety regulations.
• Self-motivated, able to work in a team.
• Winter maintenance experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Carry out highway maintenance tasks including patching, kerbing, ironwork replacement and drainage maintenance.
• Operate and maintain HGVs and small plant machinery with checks and routine maintenance.
• Participate in winter and summer standby duties and emergency callouts.
• Prioritise safety for yourself and the team, follow procedures and best practices.
• Keep accurate records and liaise with Amey employees, sub-contractors, emergency services and clients.
