Job summary

Enerveo LIMITED is seeking a Highways Lighting Operative to maintain Dorset’s street lighting and related infrastructure from Piddlehinton Depot. You’ll balance planned works with reactive fault response, travelling across a wide area on a full‑time schedule.

The role requires a safety‑conscious, hands‑on professional with an electrical background; driving licence is essential and on‑call duties with standby payments apply.

Qualifications

• Background in electrical or outdoor utility work.
• Willingness to learn and work safely.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Experience in street lighting, fibre, civils, construction, utilities helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintain street lighting infrastructure including lamps, signs and subways.
• Respond to faults and perform reactive maintenance.
• Carry out planned maintenance and lamp changes.
• Safely operate MEWPs and work at heights up to 12 m+.
