Job summary

Enerveo is hiring a Highways Lighting Operative for Wellington, Somerset. The role is full-time (37 hours/week) with standby shifts, possible night work on National Highways contracts, and accommodation provided when required.

You will install and maintain street lighting and highway furniture, diagnose faults, and work outdoors with a team across the South West. A valid Class 2 HGV licence and HIAB experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 HGV licence held.
• Willingness to complete National Highways compliance training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather.
• Flexibility for out-of-hours and night shifts.
• Ability to stay away from home when required; accommodation provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and maintenance of street lighting infrastructure and highway furniture.
• Diagnose faults and assist with repairs to ensure safe operation.
• Carry out equipment changes and testing to maintain reliability.
• Work outdoors on public highways in varying conditions with a team.
• Follow health and safety procedures and client requirements.
• Operate equipment such as a mobile elevated working platform (HIAB) safely.
