Job summary

Enerveo is seeking a Highways Lighting Operative to support street lighting and highway electrical works across the South West, with a base at Wellington, Somerset.

You will install, maintain, fault‑find and service lighting assets outdoors, work in varied weather, and may incur night shifts with accommodation and allowances. A Class 2 HGV licence and willingness to train are essential.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 2 HGV licence.
• Willingness to complete National Highways compliance training.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Flexibility to work out-of-hours and night shifts with notice.
• Willingness to stay away from home when required with accommodation and food allowance.

Responsibilities

• Support installation and maintenance of street lighting infrastructure and highway furniture.
• Diagnose faults and assist with repairs to keep equipment safe and reliable.
• Carry out equipment changes, maintenance and testing to prevent issues.
• Work outdoors on public highways with a team of Operatives and Electricians.
• Deliver excellent service by completing work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
• Follow health, safety and compliance procedures set by clients and the business.
• Operate a mobile elevated working platform (HIAB) safely and effectively.
