Job summary

Enerveo is hiring a Highways Lighting Operative in Newcastle/North Tyneside. The role is full-time, 37 hours weekly, with a base salary of £26,711–£28,091 plus a TIM bonus. You will inspect, maintain and repair street lighting systems, work at height, and may join on-call rotas for extra pay.

The job requires a full UK driving licence and safety training; IPAF/PASMA and CSCS/ECS are nice-to-haves. A van and PPE are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical/construction industry.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work at height and in varying weather conditions.
• Ability to use a hand-held tablet to log repair reports.
• Willingness to undertake safety training.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain and repair highway lighting systems including streetlights and signs.
• Change, paint and test equipment to prevent issues.
• Fix faulty equipment promptly to ensure lighting infrastructure reliability and road safety.
• Work in accordance with safety guidelines and regulations.
