Sefton Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking an experienced Highway Inspector to join the Highway Network Management Team within the Highways and Public Protection Department. The role focuses on site-based inspections of new developments and infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved highway specifications.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Section 38 and 278 agreement processes.
• Detailed knowledge of highway construction materials.
• Understanding of traffic management requirements for safe works on the highway.

Responsabilités

• Supervision of Section 38 works.
• Supervision of Section 278 works on the highway.
• Maintaining detailed records of all site visits.
• Ensuring compliance with Chapter 8 and associated codes of practice.
• Enforcement of Highways Act 1980.
• Responding to enquiries from Councillors and members of the public.
