Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Site Engineer to support highways and infrastructure projects in Norfolk. You will set out using GPS, run GI/topography surveys, and supervise on-site works with subcontractors while managing safety, permits, and RAMS.

The role requires CSCS, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid at Work, and flexibility for night-shift carriageway work, reporting to the Agent and ensuring right-first-time delivery on a major regional scheme.

Qualifications

• Site surveying and GPS setting out experience.
• Ground investigation (GI) and topo surveys experience.
• Sub-contractor supervision on site.
• Managing RAMS, ITPs and daily diaries.
• Safety leadership and permits management.
• Night-shift weather/traffic management readiness.
• CSCS Card, SSSTS/SMSTS, First Aid at Work are required.

Responsibilities

• Set out and survey points using GPS and manage site survey packages.
• Supervise on-site works and subcontractor activities.
• Issue permits to dig and conduct pre-construction equipment checks and lead safety on site.
• Enforce ITPs, track non-conformances, and maintain daily diaries and RAMS reviews.
• Conduct pre-/post-work landowner surveys and oversee traffic management, including night shifts.
• Report to the Agent and ensure right-first-time delivery on site.
