Balfour Beatty plc is seeking a Level 1 Maintenance or ERT Operative on a long-term project maintaining the UK road network. You will respond to incidents, perform essential maintenance, and uphold safety standards on a busy motorway context.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence (LGV Class 2).
• A valid CSCS Operative card.
• Experience working in highways, maintenance or a similar operational environment.
• The ability to work safely, follow instructions and contribute to a Zero Harm culture.
• A proactive, team-focused approach and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day maintenance of the network, including repairs, inspections and keeping areas clean and safe.
• Respond to incidents and hazards to help keep traffic moving smoothly.
• Set up and work safely within traffic management guidelines.
• Use equipment and digital tools to record work and report issues.
• Carry out vehicle and equipment checks to ensure readiness and safety.
• Work as part of a team that prioritises safety and supports colleagues.
