Job summary

Balfour Beatty plc is recruiting a Network Operations Supervisor to lead ISU/ERT and Recovery operatives on the M25, ensuring safe delivery of highway maintenance operations. You will supervise daily activities, manage resources, and uphold safety and compliance standards across shifts.

The role emphasizes continuous improvement, toolbox talks, and strong leadership to drive performance, with hybrid working options and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• CSCS qualification is required.
• SMSTS/SSSTS certification is required.
• Experience in highways maintenance operations or similar.
• Proven team leadership and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage teams on-site, including ISU/ERT and Recovery operatives.
• Carry out litter surveys, gate stops and safety tours.
• Update the Maintenance Management System to capture data of works activities.
• Ensure sufficient resources are in place to deliver all works activities.
• Support the development and implementation of RAMS and procedures.
• Prepare and deliver daily work briefings to operatives outlining methodology, hazards, risks, and control measures.
• Deliver detailed debriefs at the end of each shift to identify issues and capture lessons learned.
