Job summary

Vector Recruitment Solutions Ltd is seeking a Contract Manager for highways drainage in Glastonbury. You will take overall responsibility for contract delivery, safety, and monthly P&L, and lead a depot team in a flexible, proactive environment.

In this role you will coordinate on-site resources, manage performance against targets, build client relationships, and develop the works programme with rates. A full UK driving licence, CSCS, and safety qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Contract Manager or similar within drainage/highways/utilities.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• CSCS card holder with SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
• Excellent team leadership, planning, and client-facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for contract delivery, health & safety, and monthly P&L.
• Lead a small, agile depot team in a flexible and innovative environment.
• Coordinate and plan on-site resources, ensuring safe working practices at all times.
• Manage contract performance, standards, and targets.
• Line management a team of circa 40 drainage personnel, handling any performance issues.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Develop, monitor, and manage the works programme and schedule of rates.
• Oversee cost control, monthly applications, and contract pricing.
• Conduct regular site audits with a focus on safety and quality.
