Job summary

KIER GROUP is seeking a Highways Design Engineer to join our Civil Engineering team based in Salford. In this role, you will create and manage highway designs, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and client requirements. Your responsibilities also include supporting senior engineers and mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of civil engineering design software.
• Member of a professional body (IEng / CEng status or working towards).

Responsibilities

• Prepare preliminary and detailed designs for local and national authorities.
• Deliver technical and feasibility studies for clients.
• Assess potential risks, materials, and costs.
• Provide innovative solutions to engineering problems.
• Maintain good relations with clients and attend meetings.
