Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager for the South West region, based at the Bristol office. You will represent the company on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites to ensure delivery meets time, cost, quality, safety and customer experience standards.

You will drive schemes, coordinate with Project Managers and supply chain partners, provide early warnings and manage buildability reviews, with a requirement to drive as part of the role and a clean driving

Qualifications

• Degree in an engineering discipline or proven highways/structures experience
• Knowledge of site-based processes, CDM, DMRB, MCHW and Chapter 8
• IOSH or SMSTS preferred
• Strong communication, stakeholder management and customer focus
• Experience leading geographically dispersed teams

Responsibilities

• Assure completion of planned works and escalate concerns to the Construction Manager
• Ensure works comply with CDM, HSE, DMRB, MCHW and Chapter 8 requirements
• Provide regular feedback on progress, risks and early warnings to Project Managers
• Coordinate delivery programme with supply chain partners and carry out buildability reviews
• Maintain liaison with Project Managers and Commercial/Procurement on Early Warnings and Compensation Events
