Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager for the South East region, based at the Basingstoke office. The role involves representing the company on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites and ensuring schemes meet time, cost, quality, safety, and customer experience standards.

The role requires driving with up to 3 points and a degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent experience.

Qualifications

Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline (desirable; civil engineering degree preferred) or proven highways/structures maintenance/construction experience.
IOSH or SMSTS preferred.
Knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8, CDM Regulations.
Strong communication and stakeholder management with customer focus.

Responsibilities

Assure completion of planned works to agreed standards and escalate to Construction Manager as needed.
Ensure works comply with CDM regulations, HSE legislation, DMRB and MCHW.
Provide regular feedback on progress, risks, early warnings, and design issues to Project Managers.
Coordinate delivery with key supply chain partners and carry out buildability reviews on all projects.
Maintain liaison with Project Managers and Commercial & Procurement colleagues on Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
