National Highways is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager to join the Midlands region, with base in Birmingham or Nottingham. The role involves representing the company on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites, ensuring schemes meet time, cost, quality and safety standards while protecting customer experience.

You will drive as part of the role, joining a well‑established team with a varied daily workload.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in relevant engineering discipline (desirable; civil engineering preferred).
• IOSH or SMSTS preferred.
• Experience on high-speed trunk road/motorway networks desirable.
• Knowledge of DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8, CDM Regulations.

Responsabilités

• Assure completion of planned works to agreed standards and escalate concerns to the Construction Manager.
• Ensure works are constructed in line with current regulations and standards (DMRB, MCHW, CDM).
• Provide regular feedback to Project Managers on scheme progress, risks, and issues; act as escalation point on-site.
• Liaise between key supply chain partners and coordinate the delivery programme with buildability reviews.
• Maintain liaison with Project Managers and Commercial & Procurement, sharing Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
