Job summary

National Highways is looking for a Construction Assurance Manager to join our North West team, with offices in Warrington, Preston, Penrith or Manchester. The role focuses on delivering capital schemes on time, within cost and to safety standards, while maintaining customer experience.

You will drive site governance, coordinate key supply-chain partners, and ensure compliance with CDM, DMRB and MCHW, while reporting risks and early warnings to project teams.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in a relevant engineering discipline or proven highways/maintenance experience.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations, HSE, DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8 and related standards.
• IOSH or SMSTS preferred.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management across dispersed teams.

Responsibilities

• Ensure planned works are completed to agreed standards and escalate concerns.
• Ensure works align with CDM, HSE, DMRB, MCHW and Chapter 8 requirements.
• Provide regular feedback to Project Managers on progress, risks and issues.
• Coordinate delivery programmes with supply-chain partners and conduct buildability reviews.
• Maintain liaison with Commercial & Procurement, reporting Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
