Job summary

National Highways is recruiting a Construction Assurance Manager to join the team in the North West region (Warrington, Preston, Penrith or Manchester). You will represent the company on civil engineering construction and maintenance sites to ensure on-time, on-budget, safe delivery with a focus on quality and customer experience.

The role requires a degree in civil engineering or relevant experience, knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE legislation, and the NEC 4 ECC form of contract; driving

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering or relevant experience.
• Knowledge of CDM regulations and HSE legislation.
• IOSH/SMSTS preferred.
• Must have no more than 3 driving points.
• Experience on high-speed trunk road/motorway networks desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assure completion of planned works to agreed standards and report to the Construction Manager.
• Coordinate with supply chain partners and ensure timely delivery of schemes.
• Provide regular feedback on progress, risks, and early warnings to project managers.
• Escalate on-site issues and maintain strong buildability reviews across projects.
• Maintain liaison with project managers and procurement colleagues on Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
