Job summary

National Highways is seeking a Construction Assurance Manager to join our team in the North West region (Warrington, Preston, Penrith or Manchester). You will represent the company on civil construction and maintenance sites, ensuring schemes meet time, cost, quality and safety standards while maintaining customer experience.

The role requires a degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience, and you must be able to drive with no more than 3 penalty points.

Qualifications

Degree in engineering or equivalent professional experience in highways/structures.
Experience on high-speed trunk roads/motorway networks desirable.
Knowledge of CDM, HSE, DMRB, MCHW, Chapter 8, and related safety standards.
IOSH/SMSTS preferred.

Responsibilities

Assure completion of planned works to agreed standards and report to Construction Manager.
Ensure works comply with CDM regulations, HSE, DMRB, MCHW and Chapter 8.
Provide regular feedback on progress, risks, warnings, and design issues; escalate on-site issues.
Coordinate delivery programme with supply chain partners and perform buildability reviews.
Maintain liaison with Project Managers and Commercial/Procurement teams; share Early Warnings and Compensation Events.
