Job summary

Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council is seeking a proactive Street Works Inspector to ensure road and street works comply with permit conditions on the authority's highway network. Reporting to the Street Works Engineer, you will perform inspections under the All Streets Permit Scheme and related highway activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in highways, street works, utilities or related sectors.
• NRSWA Supervisor accreditation encouraged; training provided if not held.
• A full driving licence is essential and candidates must have the right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Carry out inspections in accordance with permits issued under the All Streets Permit Scheme and related highway activities.
• Communicate clearly with utility companies, contractors, developers, council officers, elected members and the public; work independently and as part of a team.
