The Torridon in the Scottish Highlands is seeking a practical Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function across the resort. You will oversee day-to-day operations, plan preventative works and work closely with every department to keep facilities safe, efficient and guest‑focused.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in maintenance management or facilities management.
• Strong practical maintenance knowledge with sound technical judgement.
• Experience leading a small team.
• Good organisational skills to plan and prioritise tasks.
• Clear communication with colleagues, contractors and suppliers.
• Understanding of safety, compliance and record keeping.
• Experience in hospitality or service-led environments is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the maintenance team to deliver safe, high-quality work.
• Plan, manage and record preventative maintenance across the resort.
• Respond promptly to faults and guest-impacting issues.
• Maintain guest areas, back-of-house spaces, team accommodation, plant rooms and outdoor facilities.
• Work with departments to prioritise and minimise disruption.
• Manage contractors, suppliers, maintenance stock and records.
• Support health and safety, fire safety, inspections, compliance checks and safe systems of work.
• Identify improvements for sustainability and asset care.
