Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is opening a brand-new specialist school in Esher to support pupils aged 7-17 with SEMH and MLD. The Higher Level Teaching Assistant role offers daily pay and a stable schedule, with a September start and long-term potential.

You will lead sessions, deliver targeted interventions, and work closely with teachers to support learning, behaviour, and emotional regulation in a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

Are you an experienced HLTA, Teaching Assistant or Unqualified Teacher ready to take the next step in your career?

We're recruiting for a brand-new specialist school opening in Esher this September, supporting pupils aged 7-17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD).

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the school's founding team, helping to shape a positive and nurturing learning environment from day one.

The Role

• Lead learning sessions and provide classroom cover when required.
• Deliver engaging lessons and targeted interventions to individuals, small groups and whole classes.
• Support pupils with SEMH and additional learning needs to engage in learning and achieve their goals.
• Work collaboratively with teachers and the wider school team.
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and independence.

About You

• Previous experience as an HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher.
• Confident leading lessons or taking responsibility for groups of pupils.
• Experience supporting children with SEND and/or SEMH needs is highly desirable.
• Calm, resilient and able to build positive relationships.
• Passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning.
