Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd in Esher is seeking an HLTA / Senior Teaching Assistant to join a brand-new SEMH school opening in Esher. The role involves delivering pre-planned lessons, providing 1:1 and small-group support, and helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment for pupils aged 7–17 with SEMH and MLD.

The position is full-time, 8:30am–4:30pm, paying £130 per day with holiday pay. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.

Qualifications

• HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher experience.
• Experience with SEND, SEMH or alternative provision is advantageous.
• Confident in leading learning and managing groups of pupils independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide classroom cover.
• Support pupils 1:1, in small groups and in whole-class settings.
• Adapt learning to meet individual needs and support positive behaviour.

A brand-new specialist school opening in Esher is looking for confident and experienced education professionals to join its founding team. We're keen to hear from HLTAs, experienced Teaching Assistants and Unqualified Teachers who are passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.

The school will support pupils aged 7–17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), providing a structured, nurturing environment where every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.

The Role

• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide classroom cover when required.
• Support pupils across Key Stages on a 1:1, small-group and whole-class basis.
• Work alongside teaching staff to adapt learning and meet individual needs.
• Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and resilience.
• Contribute to a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

We're Looking For

• Previous experience as an HLTA, experienced Teaching Assistant, Cover Supervisor or Unqualified Teacher.
• Confident leading learning and managing groups of pupils independently.
• Experience within SEND, SEMH or alternative provision is advantageous.
• A proactive, adaptable and resilient approach.
• A genuine commitment to improving outcomes for young people.
