Overview

Glebefields Primary School (SIPS) is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our friendly and supportive team. This role involves supporting teaching and learning across the school, delivering high‑quality interventions, and leading whole‑class learning.

The Successful Candidate Will:
  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have equivalent experience and be willing to undertake the qualification.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom practice and a strong understanding of effective teaching and learning strategies.
  • Be confident in planning, delivering and evaluating learning activities.
  • Have experience of supporting pupils with a range of abilities and needs.
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Show commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Have high expectations of achievement, behaviour and attendance.

Job Details

Hours: 37 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 days

Grade: Grade E, SCP 18 - 25 - £31,537 - £36,363 p.a. (Actual Salary £28,262 - £33,565 p.a.)

Location: Glebefields Primary School, Sandgate Road, Tipton DY4 0SX

Closing Date: Friday 4th September 2026 at 12noon

Interviews: Tuesday 8th September 2026

Start Date: 2nd November 2026 (or sooner if possible) subject to clearances
