Job summary

Hillcroft Primary School, part of the GLF Schools family, invites a passionate Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our friendly team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will work closely with the Headteacher and teaching staff to support pupils' learning.

You will deliver planned lessons, support pupils with a range of learning needs, manage class activities, and help create an inclusive, positive learning environment across the school.

Qualifications

• Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above and an HLTA qualification (or willingness to undertake).
• Experience in supporting and delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning.
• Demonstrates ability to adapt and deliver engaging learning strategies with strong organisation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging planned lessons and support pupils with a range of learning needs.
• Support pupils' emotional and academic development and contribute to inclusive learning.
• Prepare resources, maintain pupil records and assist with classroom planning.

Job description

Working closely with the Headteacher and teaching staff, you'll play a vital role in helping every child thrive. From delivering engaging planned lessons to supporting pupils with a range of learning needs, you'll be at the heart of creating a positive, inclusive and inspiring learning experience for all.

• Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification (or willingness to undertake)
• Have experience in supporting and delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning
• Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
• Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
• Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding. P
