Job summary

Hillcroft Primary School is seeking a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) for a full-time, permanent position. You will work closely with the Headteacher and staff to deliver planned lessons, support pupils with learning needs and help create an inclusive learning environment.

The role requires HLTA qualification (or willingness to undertake) and GCSEs in English and Maths at grade C or above. You will demonstrate strong organisational skills, effective communication with colleagues

Qualifications

  • Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification (or willingness to undertake)
  • Have experience in supporting and delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning
  • Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging planned lessons and support pupils with diverse learning needs
  • Support pupils' emotional and academic development and monitor progress
  • Prepare resources, maintain pupil records and contribute to classroom planning
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for all pupils

Hillcroft Primary School is looking for a passionate and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.

What we are looking for

Salary: GLF Specialist Point 1 - £28,009

Actual Salary: £23,426.64
