Job summary

Salfords Primary School and Nursery invites an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning across the school. You will work under the Headteacher, delivering planned lessons, supporting pupils with varying needs, and helping to maintain a safe, engaging environment.

Are you an enthusiastic and experienced Higher-Level Teaching Assistant looking to make a real impact? Salfords Primary School is seeking a dedicated and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and inclusive team. Your opportunity

Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, both individually and in small groups, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment. As part of GLF Schools, you'll also benefit from opportunities for professional development and collaboration across a wider network of supportive professionals.

What we are looking for

• Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
• Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
• Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
• Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
• Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
• Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

Salary: GLF Associate Specialist: Point 1 £28,009

Actual Salary: £23,426.65

Hours of work: 35hrs per week (39 weeks per year)
