Job summary

Salfords Primary School, part of GLF Schools, is seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support learning across Key Stage 1 and 2. Working under the Headteacher, you will deliver planned lessons, support diverse needs, and help maintain a safe, engaging learning environment.

Your opportunity

Working under the direction of the Headteacher, the successful candidate will play a key role in supporting children's learning, both individually and in small groups, ensuring that every child has access to a high-quality, inclusive education. This role is ideal for someone who is confident delivering planned lessons, supporting children with a range of needs, and committed to fostering a safe, engaging and positive learning environment. As part of GLF Schools, you'll also benefit from opportunities for professional development and collaboration across a wider network of supportive professionals.

What we are looking for
  • Hold relevant qualifications, including a good general education (GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above) and an HLTA qualification.
  • Have experience delivering lessons to whole classes and supporting learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
  • Be skilled in adapting and delivering engaging learning strategies, managing behaviour effectively, and supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
  • Demonstrate strong organisational skills, including preparing resources, maintaining pupil records, and contributing to classroom planning.
  • Show excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, working well with colleagues, children, and parents.
  • Be motivated, flexible, and committed to maintaining high standards of professionalism and safeguarding.

Salary: GLF Associate Specialist: Point 1 £28,009

Actual Salary: £23,426.65

Hours of work: 35hrs per week (39 weeks per year)
