Job Description:

A Huddersfield school in the HD1 area is seeking an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a long-term basis. The role involves supporting pupils and staff, contributing to high standards and achievements. Responsibilities include assisting in behavioural management, lesson delivery, and possibly planning and delivering classes in case of unplanned absences. 1:1 support may also be required.

Pay: GBP90-GBP110 per day depending on experience.

Candidate Requirements:

• Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent to a level 4 NVQ.
• Experience supporting a teacher both in and out of the classroom.
• Passionate about raising standards of teaching.
• Experience handling classroom behaviours and incidents.
• Ability to motivate and encourage pupils to reach their potential.
• Effective communication with staff and professional incident reporting.

• Right to Work in the UK.
• An enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or willingness to process a new application.
• Two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
