Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)

Job Description:
A Halifax school in the HX1 area is seeking an experienced HLTA to join their team on a long-term basis to support pupils and staff, contributing to high standards and achievements. The role involves supporting teachers with behavioural management and lesson delivery. You may also need to plan and deliver your own classes during absences. 1:1 support may be required at times.

Pay: GBP90-GBP110 per day depending on experience.

The successful candidate will:
Hold a HLTA qualification or equivalent to a level 4 NVQ.
Have experience supporting teachers in and out of the classroom.
Be passionate about raising teaching standards.
Have experience managing behaviours and incidents.
Motivate and encourage pupils to reach their potential.
Liaise effectively with staff and report incidents professionally.
To be eligible through Prospero Teaching, you must:
Hold the Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the online update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
Provide two professional child-related references covering the last two years.
