Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Prototyping / Test Engineer to join a growing high‑performance vehicle company in Banbury. You will design and prototype new vehicles and help turn customer ideas into working concepts.

In this role you’ll manufacture prototype parts, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and fit sensors and test gear to monitor performance. AutoCAD and SolidWorks experience in an automotive setting is essential.

Qualifications

• Prototyping experience in automotive projects.
• Automotive background with hands-on test experience.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and SolidWorks for part design.

Responsibilities

• Complete new designs and prototyping of new vehicles.
• Manufacture prototype parts on manual machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues during early development.
• Fit sensors, dataloggers and test equipment to monitor performance.
