Job summary

ePropelled in Coventry is seeking an Engineering Technician – Mechanical to support prototype development, assembly, testing, and validation of advanced propulsion and power systems. You will work with mechanical, electronics, and manufacturing engineers to build prototypes and troubleshoot systems throughout the product lifecycle.

This hands-on role suits a practical technician with strong mechanical aptitude, contributing directly to next-generation propulsion technologies and ensuring

Qualifications

• ONC/HNC or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Experience in mechanical engineering, R&D, or testing environments.
• Hands-on experience with assembling and testing mechanical or electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T symbols, and technical docs.

Responsibilities

• Support engineers in development, assembly, and testing of new prototypes.
• Build, modify, and maintain mechanical prototypes, test rigs, and lab equipment.
• Assist with design verification and validation activities.
• Assemble precision mechanical components and electromechanical assemblies.
• Conduct performance, durability, environmental, and functional tests of mechanical products.
• Install instrumentation and sensors for engineering testing and data collection.
• Record test results and maintain engineering documentation.
• Read and interpret drawings and assembly instructions.
• Support prototype builds and design reviews while complying with safety and quality procedures.
